I was really fortunate to be a recipient of the uptown foundation and its benefits. From the SAT prep to the scholarship that it offered me, it helped ease my transition to college. I can truthfully say that without the uptown foundation, I would not have had as successful of a first collegiate year. Thank you to the Uptown Foundation and its founder.

As a first generation hispanic college student the Uptown Foundation created a safety net for me as I transitioned from high school to college. The Uptown Foundation built a clear path for my success, it taught me how to be a better student which in turn helped me become a better person. I learned skills that improved my study habits and mannerisms when it came to my education. From tutoring to financial assistance the foundation took a weight off of my shoulders as I took steps into a new chapter of my life. The Uptown Foundation was a crucial aspect of my academic development and it sustained me as a first-gen college student and growing young adult. Thank you.

I would like to thank the Uptown Foundation for the assistance and guidance they provided me throughout my junior year. Prior to joining the Uptown Foundation program, I had no idea how to begin studying for the SAT. However, the Uptown Foundation program provided me with the most recent SAT prep materials and tutoring sessions, which helped me develop better study habits for the SAT and future examinations. Even during the pandemic, the Uptown Foundation was dedicated to assisting me and my classmates by providing zoom classes and offering as much assistance as possible.

The Uptown Foundation Scholarship was a big help in covering my New York University tuition. I am a first-generation college student, and I had no idea how or when I was required to pay for my first semester of college; thus, I am grateful that the Uptown Foundation Scholarship covered my tuition while I navigated and learned more about the financial aspects of college.

The Uptown Foundation was crucial in my college readiness. Before I even went through the college process, uptown supplied me with resources to prepare for the SAT. I had access to a  live instructor and tons of textbooks and materials to prepare for the exam. Uptown went as far as to supply us with virtual SAT classes during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The assistance from The Uptown Foundation did not end there. When I finally chose the school I would finally be spending the next four years of my life, Uptown gave me a scholarship. This scholarship was instrumental in helping me navigate my first year of college. It covered numerous technology fees, textbooks, and lab fees. And even some snacks for some late-night study sessions. I am extremely thankful for The Uptown Foundation as they made my first year of college a lot easier.

The Uptown Educational Foundation has helped by providing me with resources during high school and college. In high school, through UEF, I was able to get Kaplan SAT prep, which provided me with a tutor every week and test prep books which improved my score. While taking advanced placement courses, UEF was able to supply me with AP review test prep books. To add on, I got support with my college process, such as writing meaningful supplements and a profound personal statement that allowed me to get accepted into competitive colleges. Alongside, it opened my knowledge to new literature by providing me with books that were out of my reach, will all of this aid, it supported my career interests therefore I want to continue expanding my knowledge with a higher education.

With the continuous generosity of the Foundation, I'm very grateful that it helped me pay my tuition during my first year of college. It helped me reduce financial stress on my family and I. The foundation has been a support system and a place where I can ask for help to inquire and aspire myself as well as others around me.
